2014 has been a great year for all of us in the model building hobby. There’s been a plethora of model kits released by the major players. Others simply re-released making those bit overpriced kits on eBay widely accessible at a realistic price. We have seen also smaller companies raising up and debuting with either complete model kits or after market accessories to complement existing ones. These smaller companies spice up more humble existing model kits or simply make those great kits even greater.
That new 1/32 SWS Horten Ho 229 is so beautifully engineered that the old Star Wars collector in me would need 3 of them. One to be built, one for a cut-away build and one to keep mint in a mint box 🙂
Even though my scale of choice for aircraft model kits is 1/48, I prefer my bombers in 1/72 and I have my eyes set on the Airfix Bristol Blenheim Mk. IVf. There has been announcements for every subject in the model building community like the recently announced Jonny Quest’s Dragonfly from Moebius Models and the Hand & Head German Haunebu 1.
