1:56 scale ? yeah you read right, this is a a very small Sherman Tank intended for War-games, but don’t get me wrong, this a scale model kit, you will need glue, cutter and sanding sticks in order to built did. Kit include enough parts to construct one kit in one of his two version, either Early or Late Production. Inside the box you have six individually bagged sprue in a medium gray color. Detail of parts is very well done, no flash on my example and very straight forward to build. Plastic is very similar to the kits of Games Workshops Warhammer 40k. The wheels and tracks are in one piece for each side, and they look highly detailed, not toy like, well done Rubicon Models!.
Gun barrels offer two options, and they are one piece as well with no molding seam line, just cut and clean the joint of the sprue and Presto!
One sprue include six figures with 3 Americans, and 3 Canadians no Ruskies in this kit, a bit odd considering that many of them were for the soviets, only a bunch were sent to Canadians, Frenchs, etc. In communication with the company they told me that a separate “Soviet Tank Crew” blister pack will be available for purchase soon. Instruction are a easy to follow sheet folded and printed in all sides with just nine steps full of diagrams, and very easy to follow.
Decal sheet film look very thin and of high quality, must test it to say more about it. The sheet include many option to Soviet Eastern front, since the development of this sherman version was sent to Russia under the Lend-Lease Agreement during mid and late 1944.
