This model kit arrived home by mere coincidence. It was up for grabs at my son’s church when they announced who wanted it. My 14 years son eagerly raised his hand. So he brought the kit home one the following weekend and we decided to having it finished no later than Sunday’s evening. He started doing some research on the car, of course, he wasn’t around when Miami Vice was a TV hit. He loved the background of the Ferrari Testarossa and the show. He even found some episodes on-line that he also watched to get to know what Miami Vice was all about. My work was to paint the kit’s body and chassis. He liked the car and all, but he wanted the trademark Ferrari Red which I did tried to replicate with Testors 1203 Gloss Red in spray can.
Under my supervision, my son took care of the rest of thel kit with enamels and acrylics. He did not encounter any fit issues whatsoever and by Sunday afternoon, his model was in a Revell 1/24 display box.
