Revell 1/24 Ford Ranger Pickup

The Ford F-150 has been the number one selling vehicle in America for 32 years. The Ranger, now a completely separate series, was originally the top of the line version of the Ford F-150. For the 1979 model Ford introduced upgrades like power windows and power doors to the Ranger models. The four wheel drive version featured a revolutionary independent front suspension that helped set the stage for pickup development for decades to come. Kit features a detailed 302 c.i. V-8 engine, separate frame rails, 4-wheel drive train, bed cover, drop-down tailgate, and soft black tires.

The kit includes 4 white sprues, 1 chrome sprue, and one clear one with a set of great decals. The build was straight forward, very easy built with not fitting issues.  I used as primer the tamiya silver color, then applied metallic blue for the base color. Sealed with tamiya clear gloss and leave it to rest for a few days to make sure the paint cured completely. The rust effect was done using the Ammo of Mig Jimenez rust set applied with sponges. Good kit for a beginner or as present for kids, highly recommend, thanks to Revell USA for the sample.
