NEW Sets for Bandai Star Wars Model Kits from Green Strawberry

Our good friends from Green Strawberry -and from the other side of the planet- sent in these goodies for us to take a look at. Green Strawberry if from model kit builders to model kit builders. It is really not that hard to notice their real passion for modelling in the products they offer.

I have had the privilege several times behind the scenes to speak with Lukáš Zátopek. He’s the owner and lead designer on this small but energetic enterprise. I recall initially working with one of the first sets in their catalog, the Millenium Falcon grille set 01715-1/144. From that set I dare to say that Green Strawberry grew wings. As a sci-fi model builder myself, I belong to several Sc-Fi and Star Wars models related groups on Facebook. You can read from many members getting Green Strawberry recommended by other members, and since I use the sets as well, I can help but to recommend them too. The sets are very well designed with well thought out parts for those areas with very little to zero reference from the studio models.

One of the things that I like the most is the material thickness chosen by Green Strawberry. The attachment points are strategically palced during their design process and they are not hard to cut either. This make cutting the parts away very clean with minimal sanding and deburing. The casting on the resin parts is ultra clean with very exquisite and bubble free details.

So what’s new in this batch?

Along we received a very nice resin set for the 1/32 Moebius Colonial Raptor. A photo etched nozzle interior detail is also included. This is Green Strawberry set 004217-1/32.

Revell / Zvezda 1/2700 Star Destroyer Hangar Bay set 03617-1/2700. Beautiful set that will make the illumination of the hangar balconies very easy.

Also for the Star Destroyer from Revell or Zvezda we have the set 03517-1/2700. This set will add great detail to the otherwise bare cannon bases. All the razor sharp details for the deflector shields on your SD along with the trash shuttle is included in this set (yeepie!)

The display placards. Darn it, what a nice idea!
We’ve got to build the one for the AT-ST Walker (set 04618-N/A)  and loved it. Paint it or let time do its work with the metal patina. They can also be used over wooden bases should you wish to do so.

There are also available for both, Jango and Boba Fett’s respective aircraft set 04418-N/A (Jango’s) and set 04518-N/A (Bobba’s).
