Ayame’s story begins when a young shocked girl, unable to remember anything but her name and age, is discovered by Master Shiunsai of the small Azuma school of ninjutsu (Azuma Shinobi-Ryu) in the desolate ruins of Kyoto after it was devastated by the ÅŒnin War (1467–1477) during the Muromachi period. Shiunsai finds himself unable to neither leave or help her and so he eventually decides to take her with him and train her to become a kunoichi (female ninja).
Ayame is the most raw-talented of Shiunsai’s students, including his other students Rikimaru and Tatsumaru. Despite her late start and bad attitude, she is initiated into the circle of a ninja when she is only 12. Ayame becomes known for her sharp tongue and quick, deadly techniques, with a set of skills very different from Rikimaru, as she is faster and weaker but more cunning and aggressive than him, using a unique style of acrobatic, smooth attacks.
Chronology-wise, the first game in the series is 2000’s Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins, which begins just while Ayame (voiced by Masako Inui in Japanese and by Debi Mae West in English) completes her final exam. Soon after her initiation as a ninja, however, turmoil falls as her duties to Lord Gohda and duties to her love Tatsumaru fall apart. Ayame’s character changes from a laid-back girl into a more mature woman.
Bandai Figure-Rise Standard Gundam Build Divers Diver Ayame Look, Plastic Model
Here’s to another finished side project. This is DIVERAYEME, AY’S DIVE LOOK from Bandai and the Gundam Build Players Lineup. The fit is absolutely flawless thanks to Bandai’s engineering we all come to love. This is a 1/12 scale figure loaded with extra parts to display either as a full-body figure or as a bust. The stands is the standard version provided by Bandai with many other figures. It will allow you to build and display the figure in many dynamic poses.
Not a bad stand but there are better options sold separately also from Bandai.
Aya comes molded in color. But it most definitely pops if you paint it. The eyes are provided via decals which will take a load off work of your shoulders. The entire figure was painted combining different colors from Mission Models to achieve similar shades of what the figure was already molded on. Only the skin color parts were left untouched.
For the skin color parts, I suggest using Tamiya Ultra Thin Cement. Once cured, sand the joints with #400 wet/dry sandpaper. Clean with the skin tone parts with 70% IPA and coat with the flat varnish of your choice. It will blend everything together and the seamline will be basically invisible.
The figure comes courtesy of my wallet and all colors used are courtesy of Mission Models US. So our sincere thanks to them.
