We Star Wars fans can not get enough X-Wing Fighters. They come in various color scheme configurations representing their squadron. Although I’m not sticking with this build to any screen match or cannon squadron, its origin comes from Blue Squadron. The rest is good old fashion artistic licence. This is the Bandai 1/72 X-Wing from the movie Star Wars Rogue One currently available at Hobby Lobby.
As you most likely know, this kit comes with a 1/144 version of the
X-Wing which I built and custom painted as the one that Hera Syndulla flew in one of the episodes from Star Wars Rebels.
Bandai 1/144 X Wing Fighter
The Bandai 1/72 X-Wing is the first X-Wing I build from Bandai and as it is know with the rest of the Star Wars kits, it is very easy to put together and considering it is a SNAP build model, cement is recommended in some key areas. The base color was Tamiya AS-20 Insignia White and the rest of the colors come from Mission Models Paints.
Weathering was achieved with pin-washes from Ammo by Mig. It is well know that the styrene plastic used on Bandai kits are not compatible with enamel washes. While I have experienced adverse reactions on entire washes, I have noticed that pin washes are safer with no plastic going bad. Of course, a good gloss coat finish before the pin wash is highly recommended.

Hi!
The 1/144 model can move it’s wings?
Thanks.
Hello Mario!
Thanks for asking.
Yes, the ‘S foils’ on the 1/144 X-Wing can be displayed open or closed. You can actually move them as you wish.
