1/600 Resin Shuttle type ‘F’ from Green Strawberry

During the mid-2260s, class F shuttles were based at starbases and aboard Constitution-class starships, which were standard equipped with four shuttles of this class, along with other shuttle classes. (TOS: “The Galileo Seven”, “The Doomsday Machine”, “The Omega Glory”; TAS: “Mudd’s Passion”, “The Ambergris Element”) The class F shuttlecraft remained in service until the 2270s, when they were still being deployed to and from the San Francisco air tram station. Kit is primarily designed as set for Revell kit 04880.

Just in from our friends at Green Strawberry. This is a resin 1/600 Star Trek Shuttle type ‘F’ TOS.
This tiny model kit is very cleanly cast in resin. It comes with markings for your choice of:

  • Galileo NCC-1701/7
  • Columbus NCC-1701/2
  • Setar NCC-1631/4
  • Picasso SB11-1201/1

There’s is also a small photo etch fret to depict the center leg pad detail. The kit doesn’t have a lot of parts to fiddle with but worth mentioning that as usual with Green Strawberry, the instructions are very clear and straightforward. Decals go without a hitch but you will literally need a magnifying glass. The decal sheet seems to have been covered completely with the clear film carrier so I suggest to cut your decals as close as possible to the art.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

Nice set to accompany your 1/600 Revell kit with no lines from the 3-D printed versions to deal with.
Well worth the $13.99 price for 4 Shuttles, decals and photo etch fret.
Highly recommended!
