Peko Publishing’s War Photographer by Vyacheslav Kozitsyn

I have several of Peko Publishing’s excellent books and this one, marked 1.1 seems to be the first of what will be a superb series.

It is a 64-page perfect-bound softcover containing one hundred photos of Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 191 taken by one of their members.

While some pages have up to five images, others use the complete page for a photo allowing one to see details expertly explained in the captions by Vyacheslav.

The unit’s destination of Romania allows us to see an image of the R-2, Romania’s variant of the Skoda LT vz.35.

Many of the photographs are inspirational for model builders even if not action sequences.

I particularly enjoy those taken at the Greek border which shows Vickers Mk VIB (page 21) allowing me something to consider for the Vulcan Models kit I own.

It is a worthwhile addition to my library and volume 1.2 will be authored by Tom Cockle. Definitely another one to look out for!

I have been building models for most of my life. Suffering from terminal AMS, I have not been able to build OOB until my son's birth and his room's ceiling seemed empty.
