Detail set for Bandai 1/72 Y-Wing Starfighter

If you saw the photo etch set for the 1/144 Bandai Millenium Falcon, you will love what the folks at Green Strawberry have cooked for us for the 1/72 Bandai Y-Wing Starfighter. This is the Green Strawberry set BTL A-4 Y-Wing Starfighter 01515-1/72. The fret measures around 4”x4” and is packed with great detail for the canopy, cockpit interior, landing gear wells and even a boarding ladder. I like all the areas this set is touching base with but the one that I like the most was the parts that will add some structure detail inside the landing gear wells.

Green Strawberry also overs a nice masking set for the same model. This one is set A M002-1/72. It does mask the canopy and side windows as well as the Yellow nose design iconic on the Hero Y-Wing model. The masks are of great quality which nothing to envy those from widely know after market brands.

The 1/72 Y-Wing fighter from Bandai is one heck of a detailed model kit. But add the photo etch set above and you’ll be looking at a small replica of the Hero Y-Wing Fighter used during production of  Star Wars Episode IV.

Positively recommended!

Our sincere thanks to Green Strawberry for the review samples.
