Photo Etch grille set for 1/144 Bandai Falcon

It was just a matter of time, someone  had to take the bull by the horns and design a photo etch grille set for the popular Millenium Falcon from Bandai models. The highly praised Millenium Falcon from Bandai along other minor shortcomings was in dire need of a way to display its 6 engines on its back. There is already a 3D printed option and now we present you a very nicely done photo etch set.

As you probably know (and if you didn’t no you do) the Bandai Millenium Falcon has a nicely molded on detail depicting the fans of the 5′ foot prop featured in ANH. On the prop and as far as my research on the subject has gone, this fans besides adding detail they also helped cool down the filming miniature.

Unfortunately will not be visible on your Falcon from Bandai because the kit only comes with molded plugs to cover the engine details. This nice photo etch engine grille set from Green Strawberry addresses this issue with a set comprised of 24 individual parts.

The set arrived in a well presented packaging with equally nicely printed instructions which are easy to follow. Note the orientation of the engine grilles depending on its individual location.

This photo etch set for the Bandai Millenium Falcon is a winner in my book overcoming the sealed part issue and providing great detail to the humble 1/144 scale.

Green Strawberry has other photo etch sets available for the 1/72 Y-Wing also from Bandai and is currently working on their catalog to expand their after market improvements for Star Wars and other Sci-Fi models.
They offer shipping from the Czech Republic anywhere in the world.
The price for this set is $16.99 USD (S & H included) and trust me, it is well worth it.
