1/25 scale • Level 5 • 85-4320

The original Ford Bronco was Ford’s first compact SUV vehicle.  The Bronco remained basically unchanged from 1966 to 1977, and has extended to 5 generations.  Based on a 92 in. wheelbase, the first Bronco was intended to be an off-road multi-purpose truck with 4WD. There were 2 engines to choose from: a straight 6 cylinder or a more powerful small block V-8, and 3 body styles: a wagon, a half-cab or a roadster.  Other options included such things as a swing-a-way spare tire and bench-style back seat. Kit features include:

  • Detailed 289 cu.in. engine
  • Swing-a-way spare tire
  • Removable hardtop

Started with modeling kits at age of 7 with the Monogram Missouri, continue at age of 12 with the Testor F-14 and many other kits until University, work and marriage put at stop at it. Now I'm back working with kits since 2010, and dealing with every type from Tanks to Scifi, and experimenting a lot with the paintings and weathering looking to achieve life-like models.

  1. I am hoping that Revell will issue different versions of this body style, especially the half-cab truck (with a corrugated bed floor) and pickup side panels. I could do without the deluxe spears along the side, but I can sand those off, I guess. I noticed they have blocked out the wide rear wheel cut-outs in their body molding, so I’m guessing they’ll be offering other updates to the body kit. Fine with me. I’ll take what I can get.
