Green Strawberry 1/72 Star Wars Hangar Equipment Vol. V

Another month, another beautiful set of 1/72 figures for your Bandai diorama needs from Green Strawberry. Actually, I have the pleasure to share with you 2 sets currently available. These are mini model kits in their own right and I clocked around 8 hours to build these 2 sets.

The Green Strawberry Hangar Crew Vol. V features 5 different 1/72 scale figures. 2 X-Wing pilots:

  • Rebel Hangar Transport Operator
  • X2 X-Wing Pilots
  • Rebel Trooper
  • B-Wing Pilot
  • Set # 72005
  • Price: $24.71 USD

The second set is comprised of Equipment and this is also Volume V.

  • X2 Rebel Crew Transport
  • X2 Photo-etch for the underside detail
  • Set # 07319-1/72
  • Price: $22.33 USD

As I mentioned above, it took me around 8 hours (give or take) to put these 2 sets together. Only one transport was built out of the 2 included in the set (07319-1/72) The resin parts are very clean. My sample was completely free of bubbles and I had little to deal with the natural mold line or flash that naturally occur in parts like these.

The instructions on both sets are very straightforward with the easy to follow illustrations I have come to like from Green Strawberry.

I usually prime resin figures and photoetch parts with lacquer primers. This one was no exception and everything was primed with Tamiya Grey Spray Primer. For the base color of the crew transport, I used Mission Models MMS-006 Tan Primer and MMP-007 Yellow for the frontal cage detail. MMP-003 Red, MMP-075 Light Sea Grey, MMP-001 White amongst other colors.

Frankly, there’s no project on the bench that can not be started and completed with the ever-growing catalog from Mission Models US. To Jon Tamkin as well as Lukas and co. at Green Strawberry in the Czech Republic, I thank for the review sample.

NOTE:
The pictures featured below admittedly have poor quality. Our special lens for these subjetcs is out for calibration.
Bear that in mind, please.
