Indeed, this one is coming from the other side of the pond. Revell of Germany just released their 1/72 scale Skipjack submarine in March, 2013. Here is kit # 05119 US Navy SKIPJACK-CLASS Submarine. Interesting enough, this kit shares the same specifications as the recent release from Moebius Models.

No problem, George. You’re not the first to be blind-sided by this situation.
David, thanks so much for stopping by and clearing this up. We appreciate your time and visit.
I’m the guy who designed the kit for Moebius. See my below comment.
@Jason: Jeannette got the news thru her inbox and I personally saw the specs on the RoG site. I can’t say 100% it is Moebius but judging by the picture, I don’t doubt it is Moebius either.
I’m just guessing here so bear with me: Since it is a RoG, perhaps it will be marketed on the other side of the pond only. It wouldn’t make much sense having the same kit under different labels at any USA hobby shop shelf. Just my opinion 😉
It IS the Moebius kit.
hmmm….
Gee, you’d think that on a close inspection such as a build, they would note the engraved “Moebius” logo on it… But that’s just me!
Did Revell copy it or did the reviewer get the name wrong?
