Airfix kits now at Barnes and Noble

If you haven’t noticed or just didn’t know, Barnes and Noble books stores is now stocking Airfix Model kits. The selection is not big but quite interesting and perfect last minute gift. I snapped this picture at our local Barnes and Noble. As you can see on the picture below, all kits are the ”Starter Set” version which include the basic colors, glue and brushes to finish your model kit. Double sets are priced at $29.99 whilst single kits are priced at $14.99.

There are other Airfix models available on-line which can be ordered for store pick-up.

  1. Very interesting. This might bring more modelers into the hobby from those that have forgotten that plastic model kits exist. Since geneneral retailers (K-mart, Wal-Mart) rarely carry kits anymore, most people probably don’t ever think about buying someone a kit.
