Model Master Acryl Israeli Armor 4814 Discontinued

Back from my hobby shop supply store to find out that Testors has discontinued their Acryl Water Based Israeli Armor San Gray 4814. My supplier was not 100% clear.  But a phone call to Testors Corporation Customer Support at 3:30PM CMT, actually confirmed this. I you head to the Testors Acryl section, you’ll see a Limited Availability note. This means that once the remaining inventory has been depleted, we wont see it again.  The good news, if your media of choice is Enamel, Israeli Armor Sand/Gray [2138] will stay in their catalog.  A few months ago, the Navy Blue color was also phased out from their Acryl catalog.  Although the Acryl Israeli Armor Sand has been omitted, there are new colors as well. So be prepared to see new Acryl colors at your local hobby shops (and Testors.com).  Among them you’ll see a couple of washes including Brown Oak Detail Wash [4872].

Given the recent events over the Gaza strip last week, and as it is common with modelers interested in models from current events, I suggest you to stock up on the Acryl Israeli Armor Sand Gray if you have a current project, or planning on starting an IDF subject in the near future. For the last 2 weeks, our Academy Merkava IV LIC Tank has received hundreds of queries with a not too far  behind Israeli SUFA F-16i.
