Good evening folks. Here is the latest build I have done, which is the ZSU-23-4V1 with Afghanistan markings. The kit is from Dragon. It is part of the 1/35 modern AFV series of kits. The kit number is 3521.
This was a rebox of the 1992 kit with new parts and new box art. The tracks are individual link-n-link, one thing I don’t particularly care for, but to each his own. If I am going to build link-n-link, I prefer to have the long, flat sections pre-assembled.
It really was not a bad kit at all though, with only some minor gap filling needed. I have included some in-process build pictures, along with the finished model.
Below are some details of detailing materials used:
Base paints – Tamiya XF-52 Buff, Model Air Vallejo Paints 71.075 Sand (Ivory) & 71.032 Golden Brown.
Panel washes – Tamiya Panel Line Accents Black & Brown.
Weathering – AK Interactive: Light Rust & Medium Rust Pigments, Rust Streaks, & Streaking Grime.
Have a great evening and happy building!
