What to do with your model kit boxes?

What to do with the box once you finish a model kit?
Probably it will go to the trash or recycling bin. But for many modelers (myself included) the art on many model kits are pieces of art from anonymous artist in many cases. It shows the model kit painted, weathered and even on the battlefield. The art is many times so good, that we are enticed to purchase the model just by looking at the artwork and you know what? that’s the idea. I have framed the art work from a Tamiya 1/35 F-4J Pahntom II on a 18×24 frame. You don’t have to make this a pricey option. Frames are cheap at major retailers,  just order a matte for it at your local frame shop.

I’m sure that with you model kit stash, a wealth of  books starts to accumulate. What better book marker than the sides of your model kit box? Here what I did with my A4 paper cutter, a corner and hole punch and a bit of sewing thread. You can do it too! They can even make a small present at your next model club meeting.
