Back on December 2014 Moebius Models surprised many of us with their Jonny Quest Dragonfly. Now they do it again with their recently released BSG Viper Mk. II in a neat 1/72 scale. This is a highly detailed plastic model molded in light gray and clear parts. It does include a nicely printed decal sheet featuring stencils for the following pilots:

- Capt. ”Hot Dog”
- Capt. ”Husher”
- Capt. ”Hardball”

We have the choice of building these 2 kits with or without landing gear deployed. As you can see from the pictures below, the sprue shows heaving flash around the center of the runners. This flash is present on both kits but the kits have all the parts crisp and clean. The frames on the clear parts are very well defined and the clear parts show no signs of injection flow marks.
Back in 2012 we built the 1/32 version of this kit and we loved it. We look forward to building these too in the same spirit including lights on the engines.
Don’t underestimate the scale. If you’re a fan of the Battlestar Galactica series, you don’t want to miss the new 1/72 Viper Mk. II from Moebius.
