The baron and his funfdecker fokker by Revell 2016

Baron von Rot stood at attention. His commander, Air Marshal von Blitzkrieg, was there to award him the highest order of the Iron Cross – the Crossed Dog Bones! The baron had shown great bravery and mastery of the skies in his “Dog Fight” with the enemy ace code-named “K-9.” But in the back his mind – having seen his arch enemy parachute to safety – the baron knew he would have to face him again! Kit features five wings, moving prop, spoke wheels, chrome 426 V-8, Red Baron figure, WWI style decals, and more.

The Baron and his funfdecker fokker by revell is  classic kit that has been reissue countless times in the past, with decades on his shoulders. I think Hasegawa ‘eggs planes lines are inspire in this kit, since its pretty much a Egg plane too. The kit offer two options for the engine, with just the rotary engine alone, or with a blown V8 engine tacked to the rear of the rotary. Very easy kit to build, great for a weekend Project or for new modelers.  I built mine in 3 days! and make a display using  a metal cloth hanger, glue, and cotton balls painted using acrylics on a wooden base.

This kit was a fun weekend project, with not issues at all, and a excellent example for showing new ways to inspire using easy build kits. I expect to see more egg planes coming from Revell in a future.

Highly Recommended!
My sincere thanks to Revell USA for the review sample.

Started with modeling kits at age of 7 with the Monogram Missouri, continue at age of 12 with the Testor F-14 and many other kits until University, work and marriage put at stop at it. Now I'm back working with kits since 2010, and dealing with every type from Tanks to Scifi, and experimenting a lot with the paintings and weathering looking to achieve life-like models.
