Academy Releases U.S. Army M1A2 TUSK II

The U.S. Army created the M1A2 TUSK II (Tank Urban Survival Kit) for urban warfare during the Iraq War. The kit contains parts to build any one of three versions, V2, TUSK I and TUSK II and three marking options. You’ll find realistic armored gun shield parts for all three versions. M2 and M249 machine guns are precisely recreated, spotlight for gun included. Other kit features include flexible track and Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS), tile-like reactive armor as well as photo-etched and clear parts.

Build Any One of Three Versions
Edison, NJ – Academy’s 1/35 (13298) U.S. Army, M1A2 TUSK II (Tank Urban Survival Kit) contains all new tooling. It features parts needed to build any one of three versions, SEP V2, TUSK I or TUSK II. It delivers a boatload of detailed parts, including three marking options.

You’ll find photo-etched parts for the mesh on the rear stowage basket; Common Remotely Operated Weapons Station (CROWS II); flexible tracks; clear parts for ballistic glass on turret shields, periscope and light lenses; anti-skid coating; spotlights for 12.7 mm machine guns; spot on machine gun turrets for all three versions; rear turret generator; carefully reproduced Abrams Reactive Armor Tiles (ARAT) for Tusk II and block shaped reactive armor for TUSK I; as well as dozens of other crisply molded details.
